Video: My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge--My Process for Working With Card Sketches

Hi Everyone!

Today, I have a card for the current My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #372.  Last week, I had a post and video talking about how I like working with sketches because I'm more product-driven in my card making.  I thought I'd show you my process, start to finish, on how I use a sketch to create a card. 

Here is this week's sketch I'll be working with:


One of my favorite sentiment sets from MFT is Simply Fabulous Sayings.  I was thinking I wanted to use one of the large words at the focal point on the card with the smaller coordinating sentiments as a background.  


I used a variety of inks from MFT to create the colorful background using my Tim Holtz Tonic Stamp Platform.


I channeled Laurie Willison of Soapbox Creations with my use of score lines to create the border strip on my card.  She has such a great CAS style and I love how she uses this technique.
