Hi Everyone!

Welcome back to week 4 of my gift tag series.  This week we're having fun with foil.

Foiling is such an easy way to make your projects stand out and it's even easier with patterned toner sheets.

I have a video below showing you how I put these tags together.  All the supplies I used are linked below if you want to try the project yourself.  Thanks and enjoy!

Kat Scrappiness November Mood Board Challenge

Hi Everyone!

I'm back with a card using inspiration from the current challenge going on over at the Kat Scrappiness blog.  If you haven't joined in, you have until November 30th to upload your creation.  A $25 gift card to the Kat Scrappiness shop is up for grabs for the winner.  Just use the color palette featured in the mood board along with at least one Kat Scrappiness product and you have a chance to win!

Here's the inspiration for this month:

My eye immediately went to that shiny teal pumpkin on the left part of the board along with the items featured in the top left square.  I knew I wanted to use foil on my project.  I purchased a bunch of these Foilables Toner Sheets from Kat Scrappiness awhile back and am in love with using foil again.  I happened to find a background of what I think looks like a kind of modern plaid in the pack, so I used that as my starting point. Here's what I came up with:

Creating layers using the mood board colors offers the same feeling of a plaid pattern that overlaps.  For the sentiment panels, I used the Kat Scrappiness Cross-Stitched Rectangles to add a "cozy" look that I think the mood board conveys.  Finally, the wooden dots from My Mind's Eye mimic the kind of buttons I feel like you would see on a plaid coat or jacket.

"Modern Country"?  "Homespun Disco"?  I'm trying to think of what to call this card, LOL!
