It's been awhile since I've participated in Papertrey Ink's Monthly Blog Hop. This has always been one of my favorite challenges, so with Spring here, I'm ready to get out my Papertrey floral stamps and start creating! Here is this month's challenge inspiration.
Here is my card:
For these challenges, I like to pull colors of cardstock that match the colors in the photo and start from there if I don't have a particular design in mind.
I was thinking modern "squares" since I wanted to use my new Square Punch Board.
I heat embossed the floral outlines from the Floral Sketches stamp set onto some vellum and die cut the shapes.
To finish, it was just a matter of arranging everything on the front of my white notecard. To pop up the vellum flowers, I used Glue Dots pop up dots. They give dimension, but are clear behind the vellum. I added a sentiment from the set and some Nuvo Drops to embellish. I really like how the vellum flowers turned out. Their softness offsets the sharp lines of the squares.
Thanks for joining me. I have all the products I used linked below. Have a great day!
