I'm back with another project that I first featured on the CutCardstock Blog.
There are so many different ways to decorate Easter eggs. I think the pretttiest and most elegant is the embossed egg. I've actually never tried this in real life, but I've admired others' handiwork. The raised images against a colored background on that perfectly shaped egg are so beautiful. I decided to try this on a card using various colors of Curious Metallic Cardstock.
To prepare my eggs for embossing, I used a powder bag over the top of each to prevent any extra embossing powder from sticking.
I worked in batches and heat embossed the eggs with Wow Opaque Bright White embossing powder. I love how the bright white embossing "pops" against those shimmery eggs!
I assembled a couple of different cards with Easter greetings making the eggs the focal point.
