It's time for the Papertrey Ink July Blog Hop. This month, the inspiration photo made me think of weddings and anniversaries. Soft blues, white and gold. A nice neutral, serene background.
Here is the inspiration photo provided:
Here is my take:
When I create a project using an inspiration photo, I usually start with the papers first. This time, I gathered Soft Stone, Spring Rain, White and Vellum cardstock and just started layering them together. I ended up using the Soft Stone for the main notecard with a panel of white cardstock on top which I blended with Spring Rain Ink. This replaced the Spring Rain cardstock because I felt like the ink blending gave the card a softer look. I die cut a stitched rectangle from the Noted: Scalloped A1 die set and stamped the sentiment on it in Blueberry Sky ink.
Now, the fun part. I was in the mood for some Rosie Posie Flowers, so I die cut them and stamped them with Versamark Ink. After heat embossing the blooms with white poweder, I stamped them again with Versamark and added the Rosie Posie Step 2 layers in gold. I love the way this turned out! The flowers almost have a vinyl feel to them. I added a few leaves from Gran's Garden which I cut from vellum and heat embossed with Vertigris embossing powder. It's a little hard to see in the picture, but it turns the leaves various shades of green with flecks of gold.
Perfect for an anniversary or wedding card. Be sure to check out all the great inspiration over on the Papertrey Ink Blog. Have a great day!
