I'm so excited because this week is My Favorite Things' Camp Create week. It's a whole week of challenges where you get to practice some fun techniques and have a chance to win prizes. This is my first time, and I'm so excited to jump in and get creative.
It's Day One and the challenge is to create a watercolor background. Here's what I came up with:
I used my Gansai Tambi Starry Colors watercolor palette with a flat brush to create a shimmery background on black cardstock. I used from the top down: Light Gold, Champagne Gold and White Gold. I used even more shimmer on the diamond die cuts by brushing them with a Spectrum Noir clear shimmer pen.
Here's a closer look. It was hard to capture all the sparkle in the photo, but it was really sparkly!
Be sure to visit My Favorite Things' blog for all the info on Camp Create 2017. They have great videos featuring daily techniques and lots of chances to win prizes. The deadline is June 22 to create all the projects so there's plenty of time to join in! I'll be back soon with more Camp Create projects.
Have a great day!
