I'm back to participate in Papertrey Ink's latest Make It Monday Challenge. Our challenge was to use sentiments as a background element.
I had a lot of fun with fonts with this one! I started with a notecard cut from Classic Kraft and stamped the "happy birthday" from Just Desserts all over the front with Versamark Ink. I stamped one way, then the other, alternating the "happy" and "birthday". This gave it an even distribution. I made sure to stamp a little off the card to to give the background more flow. I then heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
To add another layer, I die cut the "you" from Phrase Play #1 out of Aqua Mist and Fun Foam. I added that to a piece of white cardstock and went on a search for the perfect "to". I finally found it from the Mama Elephant Confetti stamp set and trimmed it from the stamp it was attached to with my scissors. I trimmed down the white cardstock at an angle to follow the shape of the "you" and added a few enamel dots for interest.
I really like the way this card turned out with the three different fonts.
Thanks for joining me!
